Egyptian Revival: Series of Double-Features: Mon, Dec 25 - Tues, Jan 9.

At Hollywood's Temple of Film: Dec 25, 2023 - Jan 9, 2024

DETAILS

This holiday season, join us at the historic Egyptian for some of our favorite new movies paired with classics ready for another moment in the spotlight. Once the movie’s over, the historic courtyard at the Egyptian Theatre is a great place to talk about the cinematic experience you’ve just shared with other film lovers, especially when you’ve just seen a pair of movies with something special in common.

Our inaugural holiday series celebrates the year's best films, the creative artists who made them and some of their most resonant work and inspirations. From David Fincher’s ballistic memories of Don Siegel; to cinematic versions of Gotham as seen through Rustin’s George C. Wolfe; and Leonard Bernstein’s triumphant West Side Story, recalled fondly in Bradley Cooper’s Maestro, and then seen in all its glory in a rare IB-Technicolor print from the Academy Film Archive.

In fact, most of the programs in this series will feature 35mm, including All That Jazz, Charley Varrick, The Orphanage, Panic Room, Safe, Seven, as well as West Side Story.
